Our third branch in ushering in the literary performing arts movement includes creating space for Stand Up Comedy. Comedy writing is oftentimes overlooked, underfunded, and gate kept by ageold traditions and dominant culture. Our goal is to promote the creation of comedic writing, create space for Black and brown comedians and give access to career building opportunity through paid gigs, filmed sets for festivals and teaching art business skills.
This showcase highlight the best of Black comedic talent! Partnering with Denver Comedy Lounge, we are able to develop comedians with official comedy venues to add to their resumes!

We provide a space for comedians to perform in front of multicultural audiences. The stages we provide help local talent
The average audience member's only experience with Stand-Up comedians is what they see on television or other media outlets.. Our organization exposes audiences to local talent who share funny narratives about their outlook and experiences. This is also paired with the idea that laighter is the best medicine and we can heal our community by building resiliency through laughter!
Stand Up Comedy is an art. This means in order to make audiences, bookers and even comedians themselves value the art, we must provide compensation. Since we implemented comedy program, we have distributed over $5000 into the local comedy community.
